Incredible drawing!

Rocky Mt. Diorama

Style: Nature and Wildlife Murals

These murals were 40 feet long X 14 feet high, one on each end of the inside of a barn that displayed animal mounts from around the world. This is the Rocky Mountain side, which was very challenging as we had the sculpted elk mounts in place, but were later removed to have the hides mounted, so we had to work without them. A big challenge was the hillside in the middle of the diorama. We needed to have steps built onto the plaster hillside so we could navigate around the it and paint. The idea was to have the hill come down from, and out, of the painted wall, and have the rock that the cougar was on appear to come out of the mural.
