Wall of Ruins

Style: Trompe l'Oeil / Photorealist Murals

Vaulted ceilings meet the top of this custom mural, which looks like a old wall deep in a Myan forest. Crops and gardens hide behind a moldy looking wall decorated by cracking pillars with a cracked window opening, displaying a deep forest that seems endless. Although the wall is fashioned after a few different cultures, the Christian clients wanted this wall to have Christian markings. On the tops of each set of pillars is an embossed cross with the initials of this couple underneath, a forest pyramid sports a tall Christian cross, and the top of the wall seems to be lined with King palms. I even wanted some beauty, and decided to include a close up of a Peace Lilly drinking from the trickling waterfall.
