The big metal clunky thing on the left was only painted smooth and glossy beige at the bottom of the assembly, the rest was left as a rough casting with pits, bumps, and grooves all thru its cast iron exterior. I was commissioned to airbrush out all the imperfections and apply a shiny new coat of beige paint to match the finished part. The technical illustration on the right also had to be redrawn to add the new technology for that year.
