Abduction of Psyche

Style: Old Masters Style Murals

This is my version of William Bouguereau's painting titled, "The Abduction of Psyche." The client loves this painting and the love story behind it. She wanted it painted on the entry ceiling. This ceiling is 14' tall at the center, and 8' wide and is a barrel ceiling. This was no small task! The reproduction of Cupid and Psyche measures 10' tall and 6' wide and was painted on canvas. I then mounted the canvas to the ceiling, used plaster to hide the edges and blended the background sky to complete the project.
