Figurative murals have the human body or a portion of the body as the central theme in the painting. There can be several figures, which if often the case in murals emulating Renaissance paintings, they can be portraits of the clients (see portrait murals), they are popular for family restaurants. Often school walls are painted to depict members of the faculty or students, or there might be community members in the painting.
