I am a Muralist/ Decorative Artist. I specialize in all aspect of Faux finish work and am a master muralist, particularly in Trompe l'oeil. I also do woodgraining, marbling, faux stone, venetian plaster, strie.......etc.

My Biography:
I specialize in all aspects of decorative painting. Earning a BA/Illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1991, I quickly transitioned my illustration and color skills to the larger medium of Mural Arts and Custom Wall Treatments. I most enjoy painting Trompe l’oeil (French “to fool the eye”), it presents challenges that are very rewarding. Woodgraining and other faux treatments like marbling, porphyry, antiquing and distressing not only transform things, but, can add a sense of elegance and style for a fraction of what it would cost for the real materials. Painted furniture has continued to be a steady trend in the new millennium. Taking pieces that you’ve had for years and transforming them into updated treasures is a nice and economic way of changing your look. Painted Cabinetry is also hot.
I offer services to people who want to change something little as well as to folks who are ready to totally transform their entire homes. My work can be seen throughout New England. It can be found in local restaurants and businesses in addition to private homes. I’ve worked with several local celebrities and sport stars and work closely with designers throughout greater Boston. I am excited to be doing the same in the Central Virginia area. I’ve also worked with builders who have used my custom wall treatments as a selling point for prospective buyers. No matter who the client is, it is a thrill for me to transform their rooms before their eyes. It’s a magical thing when the right color and technique is paired to the right room.
