My Biography:
I was born in 1967 and was raised in rural Roswell, New Mexico, the youngest of six children. My mother was a professional craftsman and was the source of inspiration that fueled my desire to become an artist.
Through trial and error during the course of my youth, I was self-taught portrait, still-life and figurative art. Those techniques were further developed during my Studies of the Arts at University of New Mexico.
In my early twenties, I moved to Santa Barbara, California, and became a wife and a mother of four boys. I started a successful mural business in Santa Barbara, California. Today, my murals can be found on the walls of businesses, homes and churches throughout the country.
At 25 years of age, I became a breast cancer survivor. Having survived cancer for the past fifteen years has given me a retrospective approach to the world around me; one that is reflected in my Canvas Works. My paintings translate not what I see, but what I feel when viewing the world; a world which she considers to be a gift.
