Art has always been a constant in my life. My murals set a mood, define a space or bring nature indoors. They can be realistic, whimsical or can fool the viewer into thinking they can step through a doorway or look through a window to another place. Light, shadow and perspective are key elements in my painting. Their proper use conveys dimension and volume.

After years of trying to find the career that would allow me to utilize my abilities to their fullest, and after seeing other muralists works, I took the plunge and discovered WALLS! Although that initial brushstroke was preceded by a deep breath and a "Here goes", I discovered my calling! Since that first mural I've grown exponentially as an artist. I've discovered that I have more ability than I ever imagined. At times I actually step back and think, "Wow. That's really good." This is no small thing as I tend to downplay my artistic abilities.

South Carolina has been home for many years now, in all it's diverse beauty and history. I'm constantly finding new adventures and visual aids in my explorations from the coast to the mountains.
