Ever since I could hold a crayon I have loved to draw. Painting came to me later in life and is what I spend most of my time pursuing. The thing I find most appealing about it is simply the feeling of pushing the paint around with the brush. It is a form of meditation for me and has helped me to connect on a deeper spiritual level with the creative forces of the universe.

As far as my personal painting style goes I am somewhere between realism and impressionism (a little of both, with an emphasis on strong use of color and depth of field (3-D)). What I love the most about murals is that I can create trompe l’oeil illusion or a surreal scene that contains aspects that are personal to the client and therefore “one-of-a-kind.”

Subject-wise I like nature, animals, landscapes, and water elements.

I prefer to paint murals on sheets of canvas in my studio rather than "on-site". There are several reasons for this, the main ones being that it is more cost-effective (especially for long-distance clients) and more convenient for both artist and client (no risk of on-site accidents or scheduling problems). Murals on canvas also look better, last longer, can be rolled and shipped anywhere, are easily installed like wallpaper (by a pro) and can be removed w/o damaging wall or mural...they can even be saved and passed on for posterity or given as a gift!
