To a muralist, a wall is a blank canvas - a myriad of possibilities.
But unlike traditional canvas, which is painted apart from the space it will eventually occupy, a wall painting is created in its final environment. The art is inspired by and dependent upon its setting; the space, colors, architectural detail and design.
When creating a mural, i am guided not only by this fundamental relationship between art and surroundings, but also by an element equally important; the desires of my clients. In fact, I encourage my clients to become collaborators – exploring, developing, and sharing their own artistic sensibilities and their vision of the painting entrusted to me to create.
This approach is taken no matter the size or scope of the painting – from a small “spot” painting or decorative flourish to a highly detailed large scale mural. The goal is always the same – to create a unique work that is perfectly suited to its surroundings and the people who live and work in them.
I am is currently painting for residential and commercial clients on Long Island and the neighboring areas.
