I live in the Kansas City area and have painted murals all over the midwest. Although I have only been in business for a couple of years, I have painted almost my entire life. I am self-taught and strive to be more than just a muralist, I want to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality... I consider myself to be an illusionistic painter. I am constantly striving to master the trompe l'oeil style of painting. I believe I can paint anything and have painted a wide range of subjects and substrates. I always try to bring in a bit of the trompe l'oeil style to all my projects.
I have drawn and painted ever since I can remember and have tried working with just about every medium available in the past 35+ years. Over that time, I have developed a love for the airbrush, a highly versatile artist tool. From my introduction to the airbrush when I was 15, I have worked to master its many uses. I have created works of art on everything from T-shirts to canvas, motorcycles to wall murals, and helmets to basketballs. It is through many, many hours of trial and error that I have achieved an artistic level I feel comfortable with and am proud of, although I work everyday to get better.
It is through a combination of artist tools that I am able to blur the line between fantasy and reality. I consider myself to be a very well-rounded artist.
Recently, my murals were featured in a Grand Award winning home for the 2007 spring homes tour in Kansas City, MO. These murals will also be featured in an upcoming show on HGTV.
I strive to bring a level of excellence that is rarely seen in this industry to my clients.
My Education:
I graduated from Lee's Summit High School in 1989. I have had no formal art training besides a few basic classes here and there. I am self-taught and was blessed by God with my talent. I only hope that I am able to use it for His glory while I am alive!
