Over the past nine years I have built my own mural business here in Atlanta and around the country. I specialize in children's rooms and nurseries. I have been painting for interior decorators and commissioned by private clients including baseball players Ron Gant and his wife Heather and John and Diane Smoltz. I am the model home artist for Centex-Atlanta and have been a muralist with Beazer Homes nationwide for the past 8 years.
I truly do have a dream job that allows me to play all day. I assure you, I will not be at your home too long. My clients are always amazed by how fast I paint. The speed does come in handy working in model homes. I explain, I may be fast but I am a perfectionist when it comes to my work.
I hope you enjoy my portfolio.

My Biography:
My gift: I see it before I paint it. My clients thoughts become pictures in my mind.
I am a fine artist originally from Old Bridge, New Jersey. (A.K.A. Patty Hoban)
Here is how my story started...my art teacher in second grade called my Mother to come in for a conference. He explained to her "I was different." From that moment my life changed. I was enrolled in a private art class after school. When I reached high school I was selected to represent my high school in the county Teen Arts program. I spent my high school summers studying fine arts at Parsons School of Design in New York. For college, I was accepted and received my BFA from the prestigious School of Visual Arts also in New York City.
After graduating college, I spent 5 years as a conceptual Art Director at Young and Rubicam in NYC and 3 years as a Creative Director in Atlanta. I loved the thinking part of my job but I wasn't cut out to work on a computer all day. I started missing the freedom and expression you have when you create art using your mind and hands. I never dreamed I could make a living painting murals. It is a dream job. To see a child's face light up when they walk in their bedroom after I've painted is priceless.
The most artistically inspiring places that have touched my life "so far" have been hiking along the Napali Coast, the energy that comes from the sound of the waves of Hanalei Bay in February, the rainbow I didn't know existed below the sea, the color blue that the Andaman sea is surrounding Phi Phi Don, Thailand, the people of Paros, Greece, drinking champaign under the stars in the vineyards of Beaune, France, Paris in November, the 6 train in NYC after midnight, the vineyards of Napa Valley, hiking the Redwood Forest, the California coast line especially Carmel and La Jolla, flying a glider over the Black Forest in Germany and the Half Way hike in Sedona in the fall.
side note: I am a Libra and a spiritually sensitive one via my Grandmother Rose from Borgia, Calabria. Apparently...it's a Calabrian thing along with a love for vino and crushed pepper!
