My Biography:

Bunthen was born during the Vietnam war in Cambodia, when he was eight the family immigrated to Canada for a safer life and a brighter future. He grew up in the small pleasant city of Guelph, Ont. Just an hour away from Toronto.
At a young age, Bunthen developed a passion for art. He since then pursued in every opportunity to expand his talent and mind, and the Ontario College of Arts and Design (OCAD) in Toronto, from 1992 to 1996, studying Commercial Illustration.
Soon after graduating, he landed a starting career with an outdoor mural company called Murad. He became actively involved with the company in producing, overseeing, and participating in major outdoor advertising murals. In 1998 his work with the help of his fellow artists, was acknowledged in the world mural competition for Airbrush Action Magazine, where he placed 1st, 2nd, and also received honorable mentions in many different categories. The following year he received 1st place in the same competition.
After a couple of years with murad, he eventually moved on to a renowned outdoor company, Viacom Outdoor and is now called CBS Outdoor. There he was a muralist, and producer. Bunthen worked with Viacom for most of his years in his career. In 2003, he was finally ready and inspired to take on a life long project and started his own mural company, Vivid Walls. His work is now flexible; he can either design his own mural or use a design from the ad agency. In his 11 years of Experience, Bunthen has worked on campaigns with clients for Outdoor Murals as well as the commercial illustrations. He’s worked with clients such as Fido, Aldo, Sleeman, Q-107, Warner Bros., and Smirnoff, only some to name a few. He’s also traveled across Canada to pursue some of these projects. Currently, Bunthen resides in his hometown of Guelph, Ont. Where his company was founded.
He continues his work and commutes to Toronto for numerous projects lined up for him. His most current project is the artist’s concept in commercial illustration for Absolute Vodka, and he will also be participating in the sidewalk chalk rendering for Absolut, which will deliver a 3D effect. These ads will be seen in numerous locations in down town Toronto.
